Owens Corning® Certified Energy Expert® Program
The Owens Corning® Certified Energy Expert® program is a customer loyalty program that attracts leading independent insulation contractors. We are the agency of record that supports both Owens Corning and the 120+ members. We also support the National Certified Energy Expert® Meeting each year.
To effectively meet the marketing needs of the program, we must completely understand both Owens Corning’s and the members’ goals. Every member has their own unique needs and challenges in their specific market. We create materials that align the contractor with Owens Corning in a way that is consistent and impactful for the end customers (builders and homeowners).
We create print materials, digital marketing assets, customized websites and more that align the insulation contractor with Owens Corning. The materials vary depending on the need. Examples include:
- Recruitment/retention materials to attract employees
- Websites
- Digital marketing campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook)
- Digital radio advertising
- Radio/commercial scripts
- Print materials: brochures, folders, business cards, direct mailers
- Materials for home show booths
- Truck graphics
- Promotional items/wearables
We also work closely with the CEE team to develop communications and initiatives for the CEE members (for example, the ExCEEd on the Job Awards that recognize installers and the quarterly CEE Communicator Newsletter).
For the National Certified Energy Expert® Meeting, we assist with the theme, logo, awards ceremony, pre-meeting guide and meeting guide development. We conceptualize and order the room drop gifts for attendees and help to coordinate details, like searching for and arranging the keynote speaker. We are there on site at the meeting, helping to ensure a flawless event for attendees. Essentially, whatever the client needs—we’re here to do it.
Our goal is to serve both the Owens Corning CEE team and the actual members of the program. We see ourselves as a partner with the Owens Corning CEE team, managing the marketing requests that come in from members. We have regular touchpoints with the CEE team, helping to prioritize and fulfill member needs. We oversee sending “welcome kits” to new CEEs and send out a renewal gift/kit each year to promote membership. We also collect and manage the annual dues.
Recently, we’ve introduced “scorecards” that help to track how Certified Energy Expert® members are utilizing program benefits. The scorecards give a star-based rating to each CEE member and show which benefits the member is and is not utilizing—all in a simple, visual way. We work closely with the Owens Corning CEE team to develop these. Since the scorecards have been introduced, we’ve seen an increase in member engagement. We’re constantly assessing what works and doesn’t work for CEE members and how we can support Owens Corning in meeting their members’ needs.
