We are pleased to announce a new team member who joined us in November in the role of Project Management. Meghan Ferguson has local roots here in Toledo – a lifelong resident who wants to continue serving this community.
Meghan left her successful teaching career in pursuit of something that would take her in a more challenging direction. Being able to use her current skills, but also expand into new areas was essential to finding her new career.
“The project management role is interesting to me because I like the planning, the organization, the customer service, and being able to help make things happen more efficiently,” she says.
“I like serving people; in fact, I’ve always enjoyed it. It’s very satisfying to help people get what they need when they need it.”
So, what drew her to The Jakes Group? Meghan says, “Not only is it a female-led company, it’s also family oriented. Those things appeal to me very much because I knew working for a big corporation was not for me; I wanted to expand in a new direction with a local company that makes a big impact in this community and beyond.”
Meghan is ready to embrace her role as a utility player, noting that being a specialist in this business is somewhat of a luxury. In her new role, Meghan will get to contribute to several important areas – business development, vendor management and project management.
